International Women's Day gives us the opportunity to think about progress made, to call for change, to highlight the talents of not only outstanding women, but also to appreciate the manifestations of everyday imperceptible courage, persistence, high professional achievements and abilities of the most seemingly “ordinary” women, who usually themselves they rarely think and talk about it.
International Women's Day is an opportunity to learn from each other and draw everyone’s attention that, having equal rights and opportunities, women and girls can fully realize their potential, can succeed in a variety of areas that have traditionally been considered “non-female”, play a decisive role in life society and the development of the country, take care of the happiness, health and prosperity of their families.
Let us share the stories of those whom we are proud of and who can be led by example.
Международный женский день дает нам возможность подумать о достигнутых успехах, призвать к переменам, отметить таланты не только выдающихся женщин, но по достоинству оценить проявления каждодневного незаметного мужества, стойкости, высоких профессиональных достижений и способностей самых, казалось бы «простых» женщин, которые обычно сами об этом редко задумываются и говорят.
Международный женский день - это возможность учиться друг у друга и довести до каждого, что имея равные права и возможности, женщины и девочки могут полностью реализовывать свой потенциал, могут преуспевать в самых разных сферах, которые традиционно считались «неженскими», играть решающую роль в жизни общества и развитии страны, заботиться о счастье, здоровье и процветании своих семей.

Настоящий видеоматериал подготовлен в поддержку Международного форума «Развитие партнерства по вопросам гендера и молодежи в XXI веке», проведенного в Ташкенте 28 ноября 2019 года, организованного Комиссией по гендерному равенству Республики Узбекистан совместно с ПРООН, ЮНФПА, МОМ и др.
Видеоматериал посвящен продвижению гендерного равенства, расширению прав и возможностей женщин, разрушению стереотипов; также участию молодежи и их лидерству - достижения на примере реальных историй.
The present video material is prepared in support of the International Forum “Enhancing Partnership on Gender & Youth Issues in the 21st century” conducted in Tashkent on 28 November 2019.
The video is dedicated to promotion of gender equality, women empowerment, breaking stereotypes; also youth participation and leadership – achievements on the example of real human stories.

Venera is a midwife from Maternity department of Kanlikul District Maternity in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. She received UNFPA-organized training on managing postpartum hemorrhage. This is her life story demonstrating her success in saving mother's life.
