On March 29-30 UNFPA organized monitoring actvities in Kibray district of Tashkent region in the framework of the joint Programme "Transformation of Social Service Delivery: Implementing Human Rights-Based Approach for Children, Youth and Women with Disabilities in Uzbekistan" funded by the United Nations Partnership on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNPRPD).

Monitoring by experts was organized in order to study the results of practical application of the knowledge and skills acquired during the trainings, the achievements and challenges. 

On March 30  an interagency working group meeting was held in order to discuss the results of monitoring and to develop recommendations on ways to improve the effectiveness of coordinated interagency inclusive services in response to cases of gender violence against women with disabilities based on the experience of Kibray district of Tashkent region.

At the meeting, the results of monitoring with cases of violence against women with disabilities and the lessons learned by the trained staff using the acquired knowledge in practice, and the current problems in providing services to the victims of violence were discussed.

In addition, the participants of the meeting discussed ways to improve the efficiency of providing coordinated interagency inclusive services in response to cases of gender violence against women with disabilities on the example of the experience of Kibray district of Tashkent region and developed the necessary recommendations.

It is important to note that the monitoring activities are a follow-up of trainings organized together with the Committee on Women and Gender Equality of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in order to "provide coordinated inter-departmental inclusive services in response to cases of gender violence against women with disabilities" and held in Samarkand region on December 13-15, 2022 and in Tashkent region on December 20-22  for law enforcement agencies, psychological and social specialists.
