There are people among us whose vocabulary lacks the word "impossible." And their whole life is a challenge. A duel with what at first seemed a sentence.

“In sports, first and foremost, you need to have self-confidence; the same works for the life,” said athlete Roziya Ergasheva.

Today, the master in javelin throwing is a seven-time champion of Uzbekistan. The winner of many international tournaments, the winner of gold at the Para-Asian Games in December 2018 in Jakarta.

Roziya does not agree with the fact that women are weak. “Women are strong.” And she is ready to prove it in every throw of her javelin. It flies right into the heart. Doubts, fear and stereotypes do have no place where there is confidence in your own abilities. She wants to share with everyone who is alone with the same difficult test.

A girl from the Kuva district of Ferghana knows that everything is possible. One has only to believe in himself/herself. Roziya’s ultimate goal is to open a sports complex for disabled children in the Ferghana region and educate champions, and also to convey that “all borders and limitations are only in our minds. They are powerless where there is strength of mind.”
