From March 26-27, 2025, UNFPA in partnership with the National Agency for Social Protection and with support of the UK Government conducted a monitoring visit to Bukhara to assess the effectiveness of inclusive social services for women with disabilities who have experienced violence.
The visit aimed to evaluate service provision, identify areas for improvement, and develop recommendations to enhance service quality. Key focus areas of the visit:
✅ Review of support services available for survivors of violence.
✅ Collection of feedback from women with disabilities and survivors.
✅ Analysis of multisectoral cooperation within the "Mahalla Seven" support services.
✅ Examination of the role of NGOs and Organizations of people with disabilities in service provision.
✅ Working group discussions with representatives from social protection, healthcare, and psychologists to formulate recommendations for service enhancement.
The insights gained will inform recommendations to improve service delivery, review training programs for social workers, and strengthen the support system for women with disabilities.
