Rapid needs assessment (RNA) for female health care workers

calendar_today 08 April 2020

UNFPA initiated Rapid needs assessment (RNA) for female health care workers who are on the frontlines of COVID-19 response.

RNA was circulated through the professional medical social networks of the country as well as through Ministry of Health institutional resources.

The aim of the RNA is to identify urgent challenges and needs of HCWs both, at workplace and at homes since the COVID-19 emergency modality was introduced.

The questions also cover a broader picture related to the medical personnel and the challenges emerged with the need to manage those left at home during the quarantine.

Women healthcare workers are playing a disproportionate role in responding to Covid19. Globally, 70% workers in health & social sector are women. In Healthcare sector, an average gender pay gap of 28% exists.
