A visit of young Kyrgyz entrepreneurs to Uzbekistan took place on April 25-27 within the framework of the joint United Nations project "Development of border areas of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan through mutual cooperation".
During the visit, the delegation consisting of 50 people visited more than 20 enterprises located in Andijan, Fergana and Namangan regions and studied the work processes and technologies there. Kyrgyz youth communicated with various specialists of enterprises and discussed the prospects of mutual cooperation.
Also, B2B sessions were organized in each region to strengthen economic relations between the youth of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. About 50 young people in each region participated in these meetings. During the meetings, the economic opportunities of the first visited region and the regions where the guests came were presented. The "Youth - our future" foundation, which helped in the organization of the visit, told about the work they are doing to support young people in the region. This visit created the basis for establishing and strengthening friendly and business relations between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan through entrepreneurs in the border regions.
The project is financed by the UN Peacebuilding Fund and is designed for 2022-2023. The project is implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The visit was organized by the public association "Enaktus Kyrgyzstan" with the support of the "Youth - our future" foundation of Uzbekistan.
